How to: make a girly first communion card

What a week! I didn't even touch my crafty tools! Fortunetely I made some cards for first communion, so I have a little stash of unpublished cards LOL.

But first of all, there are some great challenges taking place this week.
Photobucket
has a challenge "Fluttering by" and you have to use a butterfly! How easy!

craftycreationschallenges
has a challenge with a theme, which was my idea, and I really regret I couldn't make a card for that!
"Super Heroes" for a person who's a super hero for you. How cool is that?

And finally
Crafty Catz Challenge Blog Bagde
has a 'Fancy folds' challenge this week! Use your creativity!

Join us, the prizes are really cool!

Back to my card.
I wanted this card to be liked by the girl, who receive it. The 'normal' first communion cards are in every store, I wanted to make something unusual. And I believe every girl age 8 would love this PINK card! The girl's name is Alice and it's on the tag.
The digi is a freebie from The Stamping Chef and you can find it HERE. It's colored with promarkers.
These tiny ribbon flowers are really adorable, I bought them at haberdashery store. I also added some lace, ribbon, and leaves from a Joy Crafts die.
Inside the card there is a pocket, where you can put the gift (which is usually an envelope with money or with a holy medal).
Thank you for visiting my blog!
With this card I am entering the following challenges:

How to: grow like a giraffe

Hello, Wednesday is here with some new fancy challenge at
craftycreationschallenges
The theme has been invented by me (yay!) and it's
BORN TO BE WILD
so you just have to use a wild animal's image or wild animal prints.
The sponsor for this challenge is
Whiff of Joy

This time I had only an hour to make a card, so I went totally CAS.
Isn't this giraffe cute? The digi is a freebie from Anne Bodil and you can find it HERE. It is colored with promarkers.
The sentiment says 'Grow healthy' and it is supposed to be a card for a kid. Giraffes are rather tall, so I added a dry embossing with measures, to check how tall could the giraffe be LOL
I made some doodling around and placed the image and the sentiment on a 3D tape. I also used this tape to lift the whole front of the card.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
Find the wild animal in you and join our fancy challenge.

How to: give thanks

Tuesday, please be good to me! Monday is a history, so let the Tuesday begin with a brand new challenge at
Photobucket
and this time the theme is
MEMORIAL DAY
You can use anything relative to this occasion.

I made a 'thank you' card as my DT project, because this is the holiday unknown at my country. I've read some pages about that and I have to say it is a wonderful occasion to thank everyone that has done anything for the people to be free and happy at their countries. I used the colors of US flag, so I hope everything is fine.
I couln't find a proper image at my resources so I decided to use a classic stamp. The card is made according to a sketch from A Gem Of A Challenge and I hope it still counts that I used some sillicone stamps.

I have to admit I was very accurate with the sketch this time, no rebel LOL
These flowers are handmade - I used some good old punches for them and folded the flowers opposite way than I used to. Upwards.
The sentiment says of course 'Thank you".
Thank you for visiting my blog!

How to: celebrate Mother's Day in purple

Oh well, another week gone by and I am still trying to sort things out. And it's not easy, believe me...
To relax, I've made a card for Mother's Day, which is celebrated in Poland on 26th May. This time I went shabby chic.
What do we have here? The color inspiration for this card was this color challenge from Moving Along with the Times

I used an image from a scrapbook set my friend gave me. Everywhere I added some distressing to make it more vintage.
This fabric here comes from a top I bought at second hand store at a sale. The pink pearls are from the X-mas decoration, and this lace is from my Mom's stash.
I also added some distressing inside. The sentiment says: 'To my beloved Mum'.

How to: KISS

Woo hoo, I'm so excited to be a host for the next challenge at
craftycreationschallenges
which is
KISS
and this doesn't concern Valentine Day LOL
We mean to
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Just as simple as possible.

My DT card is very close to my heart, because it's made for my little nephew's B'day. 3rd B'day.
This digi stamp comes from Jellypark and you can find it HERE. It is colored with promarkers. I still cannot find a perfect paper for coloring, sometimes the color 'escapes' out from the lines... Any advice? Please?
Anyway, this digi couldn't be more perfect for this occasion. My nephew is fascinated with trains and everything that has a train on it or is a train, couldn't be ignored. For the background I used an embossing folder and a piece of some designer paper I bought at LIDL.
There's also the name of my nephew - Grzesiu - written on the banners.
The number 3 is placed on a 3D tape. I also used a border die cut from Die-namics.

How to: make a bookmark

It's getting harder to keep it all together: studies, work at school, afternoon work, training... Hey, it was Tuesday yesterday, and today is Tuesday again? Something is VERY wrong with my time!
No matter which Tuesday it is, it's surely time for the next challenge at
Photobucket
This time we have a little recipe for you:
3 flowers
2 buttons
1 ribbon
& many wonderful minutes of crafting.

This time I tried to make something new: a bookmark. This is my first bookmark EVER, so please don't be cruel for me... LOL
Here's this DT project on a plain background
I've had a lot of fun while crafting this. I used a text page as a background (from a Russian fairytale book). The flowers are handmade composed using some punches.
Here I added a lace, a tiny pom pom twine (?) and a piece of fabric. The buttons are from my stash, as well as the feathers.
This was a funny experience and I am sure I will try that again.
Thank you for visting my blog!

How to: combine something old and something new

This week I am on a 'shabby chic' course (I mean, I believe it is a 'shabby chic'), so this card is a little untypical for me.
But before I present my card, let me introduce the new challenge at
craftycreationschallenges
which is
SOMETHING OLD / SOMETHING NEW
It gives many options to interpret it your way.
The sponsor for this challenge is

So... where do I start?
I really love 'sewing theme' cards, but I've never made one. This is the first one.
The 'old part' are the papers, which are one of the first I bought. The 'new part' are die cuts from Joy Crafts. I have inked and embossed the sewing elements: the mannequin, the sewing machine and the spool.
I wounded some twine onto the spool.
The frame for the dress is made of a die cut scrap, it was a pity to waste it. For the dress I used some tulle and a rose made of ribbon. The sentiment says 'Best wishes' and it's a stamp on a ribbon.
The buttons are also old and the tailor tape is a real one.
All the edges are distressed with a distressing ink.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
Just find in your stash something old and something new and enter our challenge!
