How to: get well after New Year's Eve

Time flies so fast... This is my last post as a GDT for
Grab yourself a badge for your blog.
It's been a wonderful time of creativity and inspiration and I hope I will repeat this experience one day. I would like to thank Jenn for being my guide during this month and giving me the best support I could get.
So
The last challenge at December is
GET WELL SOON
A very proper theme after the New Year's Eve party I suppose... LOL
The sponsor for this challenge is a

Here's my GDT card:
The card is made according to the sketch from Willow Sketchie Challenge Blog:

I rotated the sketch, but I hope it still counts. For this card I used the sponsor's image, which can be found HERE. This is probably how you're gonna look like, when you drink too many toast for a 'Happy New Year'! The digi is painted with watercolors.
The flowers are all handmade by me, and under the flowers there are some Cheryl Lynn's pine branches dies, which I got for X-mas! The flowers are inked with denim distressing ink.
Here are some pills (for headache), that could be useful in such situation of too many New Year's toasts.
The papers are from... well, yeah... these are the papers I bought last year, so I don't remember. The border punch with butterflies is also one of the first I bought.
The sentiment says '(I wish you) a speedy return to form'.
Oh, well... I wish I could send my application for the DT Call at CYP, but I'm afraid that would be too much responsibility, regarding the fact that I should defend a thesis in June, and the writing goes tooooooo sloooooow.

But
that's not the end!
When one door closes, the other one opens!
Because
in January
I will be a GDT for
Weeeeee! My first project is ready, so stay tuned!

And I'm entering the following challenges with my card:

How to: alter a note book

This is gonna be a brand new experience for me! And thanks to
Grab yourself a badge for your blog.
I tried a new technique: altering! And this is exactly the theme of the new challenge at CYP
ALTER IT!
What you're about to do is to alter an item using any medium and crafty tools, and it doesn't have to be paper!

I've never tried that before. First I had to check what 'altering' means. Thank you, Uncle Google! Once I knew, I decided to alter a small notebook, as it supposed to be not-too-difficult one. And I've seen lots of those tine masterpieces and I wanted to try.
Here's the result
I decided to go denim. I bought a kid's jeans once at a second hand store for peanuts, because I liked the embelishment on it and was supposed to use them for a card. But that never happened.
I cut 2 pieces of denim and placed one part on 'the wrong' side, then pieced together (by hand) and scratched the edges.
I also used some lace pieces, white flowers and a white tinsel. I think jeans and lace goes together very well. I also added three sequins and three little gems.
The effect is quite nice, especially that this is my first altered item ever made. And you know? I like that! I already made a second small note book, but I will keep it for an other occasion.

With this notebook I'm entering also the following challenges:

How to: spend a really rich X-mas

OK, this will be probably the last X-mas card for this X-mas, but it's my favourite. It's vintage, it has got lots of layers, distressing, flowers - everything I like. And it's RICH.
What we have here? Let's start from the sentiment. I used the kraft paper, a sticker and a little tinsel. The sentiment says of course 'Merry X-mas'. I also used a white paint all over to mark the snow.
The X-mas tree is a tree from Cottage Cutz and I added some bling here to mark the baubles.
The vintage image is from Magic Moonlight and when I saw it I knew I have to use it! That little girl seems to come from a rich family and it reminds me the Tsarist Russia.
You can say anything about this card, but not that there's not enough flowers on it.
It was the first card I sold for this X-mas and people were asking if I'll have another one like this LOL
The card is for the following challenges:

How to: make a stamp without a stamp

During this X-mas heat I've got my own heat: I've got a tracheitis and have to stay home... meh...
Anyway the last weekend I experienced something completely new: my Mom & me took part of the annual fair called 'Nice stuff fair' (in Polish 'Jarmark Rzeczy Ładnych'). This is a kind of a craft show, where people can sell and show their stuff made by their hands. And people make lots of stuff: scrapbooking, decoupage, altering, sewing, felting, sculpting, mosaics... 1001 things that a man can craft. I got my Mom persuaded that she should show her knitting - she makes wonderful clothes for little kids. I joined her with my cards, but the main aim was to pick her out from home with her works. We spent a wonderful time talking to people, sold some things and joined the next fair, which is gonna take place on March. We can't wait! Here are some pics from this event:

Now onto my card.
This time I decided to go CAS style, using the stamp that was not a stamp. I die cutted the X-mas tree using Cottage Cutz die, and 'stamped' it on a card using the embossing transparent ink and transparent embossing powder. Then inked the image with a 'blue jeans' distressing ink. Voila!
The background is also being stamped with Viva Decor stamps and heat embossed, too. My fiance said it was the best card I made for X-mas (he likes CAS cards, as the man do). The sentiment says 'Merry X-mas' and it is a sticker.
I'm entering the following challenges with this card:

Here's my DT tag for this special challenge. This is my first tag EVER made, so please be lenient
For this project I used a digi from one of our sponsors
It's called 'The Mittens" and you can get it HERE. I'm in a paper piecing series, so here's the technique once more. This is wonderful how it composes with the background!
The sentimens says 'Have a warm X-mas'. Because it's my first tag ever, I was afraid of adding too much on it. So I only used a shaggy twine and a flower made of material.
Are you cold! Don't worry, if you hop a little you'll get warm, so do not wait, just hop to another blog!
We wish you a very merry & warm X-mas. Take care and have lots of fun!

How to: give the light to the snowman (and why it's not good)

Late, late, LATE! Everything is late! Life can be a badas* sometimes... meh...

is also late, but I hope it will appear on the blog soon. The challenge this time is a
RECIPE:
* 3 different designer papers
* 1 ribbon or twine
* 1 circle element
Stir everything together and you will probably get a delicious project!
The sponsor for this challenge is

My GDT card is using the sponsor's image Snowy Postbox and you can find it HERE. I wanted to use some green this time and here's my card:
The second image is a free coloring page and you can get it HERE. I used a 3D tape for this image to pop it out a little from the card.
I've decided to make some paper piecing, too, and the kid's coat & boots as well as the snowman's hat are pieced from the same paper I used for the background. The digi is colored with coloring pencils, because I wanted it to be delicate as the image in the back.
So, my recipe is:
* 3 designer's papers (as you can see)
* 1 shaggy twine
* 1 circle of snowflakes from Sizzix
* 1 bad snowman smokin a pipe (which is dangerous for him, 'cos he's gonna melt! This is what happens when you smoke a pipe!) LOL

How to: sing an X-mas song (while card making)

This should be fun. The next X-mas theme challenge at
craftycreationschallenges
is WISE WORDS
You should use a quote or saying on your card. You will find some at the CCC site if you don't know any.

Here's my DT card for this challenge
I finally used some scrapbook papers I bought early this year, but had no idea how to use them. I don't think I do now LOL Anyway the sentiment is a fragment from a song "Wonderful Dreams" (Coca-cola X-mas ad song): "A wonderful dream of love and peace for everyone of living our lives in perfect harmony", which in Polish is "The magical power of love is on X-mas day when we share it with people around us" or something like that.
The green twigs are from Tesco's sale department and this sweet little bell I bought recently at a craft store.
The raffia symbolises the hay, which in Poland is being placed under the tablecloth while eating the X-mas Eve dinner (which is more festive in our country than the dinner on 25th Dec).
This is my first EVER 'sentiment only' card, I got headache while making it LOL
