How to: have a party with a dinosaur

Nice to have you here on Tuesday! Terribly nice!
It's time for another fun challenge at
Photobucket
This time it's a color challenge
GREEN + WHITE + ONE MORE COLOR
The sponsor for this month is
2013 Sponsors

When I saw the sponsor's digis I knew at once what I am gonna do! I used the T-Rex Dinosaur digi for making a card for my fiance's sister's son, who's turning 2 this weekend.
As you can see, my +1 color is blue. I added some white pearls to give the T-Rex more 3D. And of course some paper piecing was made here.
It's the first time I used the 'eyes' - I bought them a few months ago, but never used up till now. The sentiment says 'Have a terrrrrribly cool Birrrrrrthday' and it's generated by me in MS Word LOL
Isn't this T-Rex cool? The second sentiment says 'Marcel (that's the boy's name) 2 years old'.
Hope Marcel will smile at T-rex.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
This card is also for the following challenges:

And last but not least:
CTO Challenge Blog is turning 2, too! So we are having a special event
There will be some candy to win and lots of fun. Please make sure you will be there!

How to: meet a fairy

This is going to be a looooong Saturday, as we are organising a carnaval costume party for the people participating in our dance & fitness classes. Here in Poland we don't dress up for Halloween, but we do it during carnaval.
Anyway this is also my last GDT Saturday at
It's been a wonderful month and all you crafty Ladies are so nice! Thank you!
I would like to thank especially Shell for being my guide during this month!
The theme this week is
THINGS WITH WINGS
And you know what to do! Grab your crafty tools and join!

My GDT card is based on a sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge

So here it is:
The image is adorable, it's a Whoopsi Daisy's freebie. It is painted with watercolors and you know what? I gave up. I ordered some Promarkers and I CAN'T WAIT for them to come LOL
I added some glitter around the image to make it more 'magic'. The flowers are made according to THIS tutorial. I highly reccomend this blog of a Polish crafty Lady, she's so creative! You can find many interesting ideas there how to use your scraps and how to make such beautiful flowers!
For the flowers I used 2 punches and 2 die cuts. I also used a border punch and some die cuts of Memory Box (HERE and HERE) and the sentiment says 'Best wishes'.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
The card is also for the following challenges:

How to: have everything twice

We have a Polish song, which goes like this:
'whoo hoo haa, whoo hoo haa, our winter is bad,
It tweaks the noses and ears
poures into the eyes with icy snow
blows with the wind over the field
our winter is bad'

And that's exactly what is going on here!
Baaaaad winter!
To warm you a little we are having a brand new challenge at
craftycreationschallenges
which is
TAKE TWO
It means that everything should be only two (2)!
The sponsor for this challenge is
A Creative Need

My DT card is a CAS card for a man this time. I used:
* 2 images
* 2 colors
* 2 designer papers
* 2 buttons
* 2 sentences in 1 sentiment: 'Happy B'day' & 'This is your day'.
And this is my first ever tall card!
The card is made according to the sketch of Make My Monday Challenge Blog:

The sentiment is a classical rubber stamp. The images come from Papercraft Inspirations and you can find them HERE. The buttons are from a punch.

And coming back to the winter, this is something I saw for the very first time in my life: an icy rain! Not the hail, an icy rain! Here's the take from my windowsill:
Tiny drops of ice. And then in the evening I was walking home from a library and saw the tree looking like this:
Hope you can see it: a clean ice on the branches! The weather could be surprising!

How to: wear a hat like a Lady

Hope you all had a great, crafty weekend! Mine was unfortunatelly 'out of craft' but today I finished earlier my studies, so I got back to cardmaking at once.
I was in a vintage mood and needed something to warm me, so here's the effect:
Looks like the spring is near, isn't it? Especially when it so freezy outside.
The pic comes from a blog I discovered lately: http://tina46klix.blogspot.com/ It's so inspirational! The pins are handmade, as well as the bow (hand stapled). For the butterflies I used a rubber stamp and a punch, then I added some bead-tubes.
Here I used my new crafty stuff: Nellie's Choice heart dies. And I added some pearls: from the biggest one to the smallest. The ribbon is a glitter one brought to me by my friend, who already knows that before she throws away the bouquet of flowers, she should check whether there's something that might be useful for me.
The whole thing is very very girlie (as my fiance says: sweet till the teeth-ache). LOL
I am entering the following challenges with this card:

How to: launder

It's the third Saturday of January and the second when the snow reminds us that it's winter time. Additionally we're having a temperature of -10oC (14oF), so the winter really doesn't make jokes!
It's also my third Saturday with
and this time the challenge is about the
SKETCH
which is quite easy and nice one
You can rotate it, but please follow the sketch, so it will be obvious that this is still this one.

Here's my interpretation:
I'm in need of baby cards lately, and I really don't know why everybody says that we have too little babies, when every second card of mine is 'a welcome baby' card, and they are all sold out! And this is not the last one!
Here I decided to use some scraps of different papers and use blue & orange most, I think those colors go very well together.
The laundry is from my new die cut from Cottage Cutz - I just love it! The pegs are made of little tube beads and the eyes of the rabbit and buttons are from tiny gems. I also used toothpicks and a twine. Looks cool, isn't it?
The bows are hand-sewn and they come from my stash, as well as the buttons. And I stated that I hardly know what I have got LOL
The sentiment says 'congratulations'.
The card is also for the following challenges:

How to: celebrate Grandma's Day

Welcome to the next year with
Photobucket
challenges! This is my first challenge with CTO this year and I really like the theme:
THANK YOU!
No, not you, it's the theme of the challenge LOL
And, yes, I would like to thank you, too, for all your support and nice comments!
The sponsor for this month is

They have lots of funny digis there!

My DT card is based on Sweet Stop Challenge Blog
SSS193
and looks like this
I used one of the sponsor's digis Flowers in Vase. And I can't help it, the paper piecing is here again... meh... but it suits so well the papers at the background! I really can't help it.
The sentiment is from Scrap-Ścinki, a Polish challenge blog and it says (the sentiment, not the blog!): 'Thank you, Grandma, that you are here for me'. The butterflies are from my fresh & new dies from Memory Box. Oooooh, I love them! The bow is hand sewed by me.
The dies inside are from Nellie's Choice. We celebrate our Grandma's Day on 21st January, and the next day is a Granpa's Day.
The card is also for the following challenges:

How to: receive a gift from Yoda Master

I was asked to make a card for someone's hubby, who is a big fan of Star Wars. Well... meh... I was thinking the whole week, but then I've found this sketch from Here Come The Boys challenges

so my mind started to run. The lady wanted also this card to be an easel one. Here's the effect:
I couldn't take a good picture of this card because of the contasts... Here's the front only:
Tomek is the name of the husband. The digi is a free coloring page and you can find it HERE. It's painted with watercolors and all the borders are inked with black ink. The sentiment says 'Wishes best for B'day your' - as Yoda talks.
And here I made some light swords from beads and 25 is the age of the hubby. It looks better when the light is on them, but I couldn't take a good picture.
Far far away, there are some challenges I'm entering with this card:

How to: welcome a baby boy

It's been a long time I haven't been posting any other card than a DT / GDT one. So here's the card I made for a baby boy:
I've done some paper piecing here, I like this so much, 'cos the digi suits perfectly the card then. I've found some funny welcome baby digis, they are free coloring pages and you can find them HERE. The skin is painted with watercolors.
This is also the first usage of my new dies from Cottage Cutz - aren't they adorable?
The sentiment says 'Congratulations' and inside there are some stamps from Viva Decor.
With this card I'm entering the following challenges:

How to: prepare for Valentine's Day

It's been a hard week at work, I'm glad it's over. And I'm glad that this is another weekend being a GDT for
And I'm glad of the new challenge theme, which is
SPOTLIGHT TECHNIQUE
The tutorial for this technique is HERE.
I've tried that before, and I loved it, so I was so excited to make it once more. I've chosen the Valentine's Day theme, 'cos it's just around the corner, isn't it?
Here's my GDT card:
You have to forgive me, I just discovered some photo effect programm... LOL
Anyway, I've chosen the Sliekje digi stamp (HERE) and decided to highlight the hearts.
The stamp is painted with watercolors. For those flowers I used some very old buttons, which my Mom gave me when I started the cardmaking. They are REALLY old.
This card is made according to the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog sketch:

As for me I was very accurate with this one LOL
