How to: celebrate Mother's Day in brown

As I wrote in previous posts, today the whole country is having a day off because of the Labor Day. And what can be more fun than more time for crafting? I missed the vintage style, so I prepared a vintage card for Mother's Day.

I really like text pages as an element of the card, so it was my starting point. I also remembered about some very beautiful set of papers that I haven't been using for a while. I found this picture at a scrapbook set my friend gave me, too.

All the flowers are handmade using a die cut from Tim Holtz, I used both pleated tissue (is this the name?) and tulle. I added a vintage button to finish this big flower. There are also some feathers, I just love the effect they gave here.

The sentiment says 'For the beloved Mum' and it is placed on a scrap of cardboard taken out from... THIS. LOL

I added some gold stickers to make the card more festive.
