Phew, it's been a week and my Italian holidays are coming to the end, but in the meantime let me present my DT project for the brand new challenge at
It's the first challenge for Crafty Catz being hosted by our lovely Ingrid, so make some noise, people! Ingrid has chosen the theme
RECYCLE IT!
It's always a good idea to recycle something and give a new life to the things instead of throwing them out (like husband for example).
Our sponsor for this ecological challenge is
I really wanted to try something new, and my Mum's friend asked for 'something nice' for her daughter's wedding, where she could hide the 'parent's blessing' (in Poland there is a tradition that the parents - both of bride and groom - bless their children for their new life to be happy). I've had some boxes collected for my school crafts with kids, so... here's what I ended with.
And this is it's previous look.
For making this box I have used some scraps left from another projects, a washi tape, lace, ribbon, pearls, fabric flowers, twine and a wooden sentiment. I also made a mini-book with the 'blessing' text (written by the Mother of bride).
The sentiment says 'This Day'.
And guess what. A Mother of the groom wants the same box! Anyone having a 'Laughing cow' box to recycle?
