How to: make an angelic bookmark

Still at the green school at the seaside, today I would like to present the new challenge at

I made a bookmark using all colors together.

This tag was made for my friend, who sent me this image to make a bookmark for her. She loves angels and loves to read. She also wanted this bookmark to be pink, but not too cute.

For making this bookmark I used leftovers from other projects and some vintage printables.

How to: have some time for youself

How to: be a smart worm

Don't drink coffee and work on a laptop - these wise words should be my memento forever. I have spilled a cup of coffee on my beautiful, pink Sony VAIO and the 'space' key doesn't work. I don't know I am brave enough to fix this by myself. I needed to go back to the PC... Meh...

I made a bookmark. I couldn't resist seeing this smart worm.

I am using the sponsor's digi 'Apple with smart worm' - it's colored with Promarkers and distressed with distress ink. I also added some washi tape pieces to make it look more 'school'.

Besides the dotted DP, I have used an old book page for the background. I have discovered a box of old books at our school library, which were supposed to be thrown out. My precious!

There is no sentiment on the bookmark, just some more embellishments from my stash.

Making a bookmark is a fun way to use all these scraps hoarded at the stash. I am using an image I've found a long time ago, and now I have no idea where... By the way I stated that this blog had a 3rd anniversary in April!

The non-leftovers items are pearls, charm and the twine. I have also used some sillicone stamps from VIVA Decor.

How to: read carefully

This is absolutely dizzy. I didn't even touch the internet since 3 days and haven't been crafting for 2 weeks now! Unfortunately I am the first in a row for every teacher being absent in my school... Not that I am so awesome, but the cheapest one as a teacher with the lowest years of work. Meh...

The ABC challenge is always a headache for me, but fortunately a friend of mine asked me to make some bookmarks for her, so it's gonna be a bookmark week!

I am using the vintage printable and some scraps from other projects. The base of this bookmark is a recycled kraft paper from the backside of a drawing pad.

I didn't want this bookmark to be too 3D, because it should not destroy the book. But I couldn't resist to add these lace flowers.

There is no sentiment here, just some scraps from a Polish old book.

How to: read carefully

It's the TGIF season! After the whole week at school and at my Studio I feel really tired. Now I have an excuse to sit in silence and craft a little LOL

Friday always starts well, because it starts with a brand new challenge at

and this week's theme is a little bit school related

BOOKMARKS

We all have those laptops, notebooks, netbooks, airbooks, but NOTHING is like sitting with a good book and feel the paper. A beautiful bookmark is very useful then.

Anyway, we have a sponsor of course, and it's

with their cute stamps.

I made a traditional bookmark, because it's my second bookmark I've ever made.

As a background I used some old books pages (English, German and Russian), which have been torn (I can't believe I did it) and distressed with blue and brown distress ink.

The image comes from our sponsor's stamp set and you can find it HERE. It is colored with promarkers and placed on a 3D foam.

For the rest of the bookmark I used some scraps and die cutted pieces from my stash, which were supposed to be used somewhere, but I've changed my mind. 

This shaggy wool is from my Mum's stash.
